Dating back to the early 19th century, and originally built as a wharf to store butter from Ireland, today Glaziers Hall is home to three prestigious livery companies; The Worshipful Company of Glaziers, The Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and The Worshipful Company of Launderers.
Centrally located on London’s South bank and just a short walk from London Bridge Station and Borough Market, Glaziers Hall offers seven flexible event spaces (which can be used in conjunction with one another or booked separately) across three interconnecting floors with the possibility of hosting between 10 and 650 guests.
The River Room showcases Glaziers Hall’s rivers-edge location with its panoramic floor to ceiling glazed arches, opening the room up to views of the River Thames and the City of London.
Both the Bridge Room and the Thames room sit directly on the River Thames and also boast views across the city. Both spaces are blank canvases, and can be hired together as an events space and anteroom, ideal for breakout sessions or pre-dinner drinks.
The Court Room is an ideal space for conferences. Painted glass, a testament to the history of this venue, top the floor to ceiling arched windows, and the these beautiful painted glass windows can be found again in the adjoining Library, a cosy room with an unrivalled collection of publications on glass painting and scientific instrumentation, the constitutional crafts of Glaziers Hall.
With in-house AV facilities, LED colour lighting and floor to ceiling drapery, the Banqueting Hall is an impressive venue for a dinner dance, exhibition or conference.
Opening at the beginning of 2018, the London Bridge Arches are the newest space at Glaziers Hall, and feature three expertly restored Georgian brick archways, a bespoke wine cellar and an original York stone floor. Traditional, yet modern, Glaziers Hall balances the buildings rich legacy with the contemporary, hosting many successful private and corporate events and parties.
