Here at Swan About we’re lucky enough to work with some of the best venues in London. From household names to hidden gems, and from intimate spaces to mega destinations, our quirky portfolio offers something for everyone and every occasion.
Here’s a taste of some of our most interesting, unusual and downright delightful party spots.
The sky-high one
When it comes to throwing a stunning event that will leave a lasting impression, it’s hard to beat a room with a view. And if it’s striking scenery you’re after, then you won’t find better than at The Shard. We work with The View from the Shard which occupies floors 68, 69 and 72 of the iconic building, offering guests a central London event venue with a difference – you can see the whole city from its windows. The space can accommodate up to 300 people and whether it’s a work event or a family party, you and your guests will quite literally be in the clouds.
The fabulously foodie one
Foodies, rejoice. We have a feast of a venue up our sleeves for you in the form of Borough Market. With us, you can throw your own delicacy-filled event at the capital’s leading food mecca, or even choose London’s oldest food market as the setting for your wedding. A variety of spaces within the site allow for anywhere between 20 and 350 guests, and with our Executive Chef Allan Pickett overseeing the catering, you can rest assured that your dinner will live up to the setting.
The oh so fashionable one
There could be few venues as sophisticated or impressive as the V&A Museum. The sweeping, sartorial surroundings of the South Ken favourite includes a number of private spaces, for small gatherings all the way up to 300-strong parties. It’s perfect for canapé receptions, private views and dinner dances, and even though it has been a London favourite for more than 165 years, together we can still throw a party like it’s never seen before.
The one that likes to challenge you
If it’s a truly one-of-a-kind venue that you’re after, The Crystal Maze may be the one for you. Based on the cult TV favourite, guests are invited to take on the full maze (including the fan-powered grand finale) as well as enjoying food and drinks. It’s ideal for a team-building session with work, and comes fully equipped with AV equipment for presentations and meetings.
The theatrical one
Set directly beneath Shakespeare’s Globe in Bankside, The Underglobe is a beautiful beast of a venue that’s connected to our sister restaurant Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe. During the day it’s home to Globe’s Shakespeare exhibition, but by night it is yours for the taking. With a sweeping staircase, private mezzanine and secret riverside entrance, it’s ideal for gala dinners, award ceremonies and glamorous wedding parties alike.
The one where old meets new
Set mid way between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, The Mall Galleries fuse together two very different sides of London. Its historic, Grade I listed pillared exterior gives way to a strikingly modern interior filled with contemporary art. Feature windows and lots of natural light help seal the deal, making its rooms a popular choice for parties of up to 360, or for 130 seated.
The one on the water’s edge
A true hidden gem of a London venue, The West Reservoir is an imposing 1930s building at the water’s edge in Green Lanes. With both a tower and a terrace at guests’ disposal, the four-storey space is ideal for wedding receptions and decadent parties, or dinners for up to 130.
The one that can’t stand still
Perhaps your perfect venue isn’t a venue at all. Whether you’d like a rural feast, a backyard party or a celebration in your own office, we have it covered. Our stylish silver Airstream food truck is fully-equipped to serve everything from char-grilled lobsters and fizz to afternoon tea, barbecued meats and craft beer. It brings a whole new dimension to the phrase meals on wheels.
